The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for budgeting, planning, developing, implementing and managing marketing campaigns that promote Griffis Residential. This individual plays a major role in enhancing brand awareness within the digital space as well as driving website traffic and acquiring leads/customers. These campaigns would be deployed on various platforms including, Google PPC, Yelp, Facebook, Instagram, ILS partners, property websites, mobile channels, email marketing, etc.


The Digital Marketing Manager will identify and evaluate new digital technologies and use web analytics tools to measure site traffic to better optimize marketing campaigns, email marketing, social media and display and search advertising. As they develop media strategies to put our brand and product in front of existing and prospective residents, they will also write and pitch content while digging through the trenches of web analytics to unearth invaluable information about our targeted prospective residents. These initiatives will ultimately result in improving brand recognition, trust and ultimately drive revenue.


  • Develop the annual property marketing and PR plan in conjunction with community and operations management to include strategic market and budget planning.
  • Define, plan, and execute social media strategies (including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Linked-In,, Yammer, Active Building, online contests, community and viral networking sites) to support community marketing initiatives.
  • Direct online reputation management program and metrics. Oversee the response to reviews and build a powerful online brand and presence.
  • Continually review and optimize website functionality, site architecture and user interface to facilitate conversion to revenue.
  • Maintain and update website and online listings to ensure content and images are accurate, optimized, and on brand.
  • Manage content calendar to support lead generation and conversion as well as resident retention strategies; deploy campaigns to targeted audiences and databases; review performance analytics, create reporting, and develop strategies to grow revenue through targeted, relevant and personalized communications and campaigns.
  • Provide analysis and reporting on digital campaigns and placements, website traffic, and email campaigns to key stakeholders.
  • Stay current on and evaluate trends in social media and the multifamily industry.
  • Collaborate with operations, community, and corporate marketing management on the development of tactical plans to drive revenue and resident service initiatives.
  • Manage appointed digital agency to maintain and optimize Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns, Search Engine Optimization (SEO), paid media placements, and copywriting.
  • Uphold the integrity of the Griffis Residential brand and visual standards ensuring the style guide, photos and marketing assets are integrated throughout the property portfolio marketing initiatives for internal and external audiences.

Education & Experience:

  • 5-10 years of digital marketing experience, including a leadership position and responsibilities
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, statistics, analytics, or English preferred
  • Experience in Multifamily Housing, Hospitality or a similar industry preferred
  • Proven ability to build and measure integrated marketing campaigns for customer-facing products
  • Knowledge of email marketing tools (Constant, Contact, Outlook, RealPage), online reputation management platforms, website analytics tools such as Google Analytics
  • Strong passion for social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, LinkedIn) and with social media management dashboards and tools
  • Depth of digital expertise across all channels, including search engine optimization, search engine advertising, social media, digital, display media, traditional media, email marketing, web development, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skill s with the ability to work and collaborate effectively with all levels of the organization and outside partners
  • Innovative and problem solving mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required and Onesite preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
