    At Griffis Residential, our Benefits Specialist will be the expert on the superb benefits we offer and manage the associate benefit plans such as life, health, dental and disability insurance, leaves of absence, and worker’s compensation.


    • Preparation of annual EEO-1 reports for the company.
    • Manages the implementation and administration of Griffis Residential benefit programs. Works with ADP, benefits broker and vendors to set up vendor feeds and invoicing.
    • Communicates information to associates concerning benefit programs, procedures, changes and government-mandated disclosures.
    • Prepares required annual benefit 5500 reports with benefit brokers.
    • Assists with the analysis and evaluation of services, coverage, and options available for new benefit programs such as a Wellness Initiative Program.
    • Responds to associates’ benefits questions and researches/resolves problems with ADP and/or vendors.
    • Assists in preparing materials and presenting benefit plan information to associates during Open Enrollment.
    • Verifies accuracy of benefits-related data downloaded or entered into ADP Workforce Now and insurance carrier systems.
    • Provides vendors with necessary documentation for life, workers compensation, and disability claims.
    • Produces and analyzes benefit reports from ADP Workforce Now for enrollment, plan participation and to reconcile all vendor invoices.
    • Reviews leaves of absence requests with Associates and Payroll to ensure that they are set up correctly and prepares individual benefits reconciliations when associates return from leaves. Ensures at that any needed workplace accommodations are made with Associates’ managers if necessary.
    • Manages Workers Compensation claims with the third party administrator, the associate and their manager.
    • Ensures that we are in compliance with state and federal regulations by completing annual workers compensation logs and ensuring that posters/facility information is posted at each community.
    • Works with Service Support Team Manager to analyze Workers Compensation trends and make suggestions for appropriate safety training to minimize recurring claims.


    • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university is required, 2-4 years related experience in benefits is preferred.
    • Experience with ADP Workforce Now or like system.
    • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Must be detail oriented, self-motivated and willing to take the initiative to get things done.
    • Ability to multi-task and to work cross-functionally with diverse work groups.
